The Donald Whitehead Building Learning Commons design investigates the opportunity to create a variety of zones that fosters individual and group learning. A series of three fixed alcoves at one end provides intimate learning for small groups while the opposite end has ottomans and tables to encourage individual learning.

Accessible 24/7, the Education-Humanities and Martin Building corridors have been transformed into student friendly learning hubs. The strategy was to bring colour, pattern texture and graphics into the spaces through the use of materials that wrap the wall ceiling.
